PostReview 8 - Akatsuki Blitzkampf

YAY. A game where none of you know about! This here is pretty much your typical fighting game, but let's go in-depth about that.

I seriously don't know what's the story on this on Arcade mode. The person who translated my download translated the basic gameplay stuffs, but not the storyline of it.

I've definitely seen the graphics before. The graphics are something... not special.

Again, the gameplay is nothing special either. It's rather typical for a fighting game... let's see, we've got punches, kicks, grabs, techniques... and counterattacks. While this seems new to the majority, it isn't really anything new. Some of the Street Fighter games provide a counterattack system, much like Akatsuki Blitzkampf's counterattack. Or rather, Akatsuki Blitzkampf's counterattack system is much like Street Fighter's, since Street Fighter came first.

Then, the game modes. You've got your usual mixed bag; one-player Arcade with a plot, one-versus-one duel without any plot, two-versus-two Arcade with a plot, two-versus-two duel, time attack (how long can you survive within the time limit, time extensions given on how well you did on completing a stage) and survival (how long can you survive within your life bar, heals given on how well you did on completing a stage). These are all the typical game modes given on... say, a Street Fighter game. But a game mode comes out of your usual stuff; Sugoroku. The mode plays like a board game, but with cards. You know, you have a die, you roll it, and you land somewhere. There are different types of stages in sugoroku; the special stage, the 1v3 stage, the regular 1v1 stageā€¦ with cards to help you out. The cards increases your stats depending on the card, and you can also have a character play with you using that card. The said cards can be only be used once a stage, though, so use it carefully! Sugoroku is definitely something special, nothing that you saw before in a fighting game.

This is your average fighting game. Go download it for sugoroku, though. Oh, and the tank. Yes, you can play as a tank here. 6/10 overall.
